Keycap Project
— 3D Renders
Started with the intention to build a stronger foundational understanding of the Redshift render engine in Cinema4D, and morphed into a project. The best way to learn is ultimately by taking a project from start to finish and boy did I learn.
As the letters progressed I started to challenge myself with tiny sets and a more complex combination of materials and lighting. I used a mix of keycap profiles readily available by the enthusiast community (no MT3 unfortunately), materials from GSG+ and several of my own. With a heavy dose of YouTube tutorials to get over specific hurdles. All of which culminating into the final letter, Z, which I am the most proud of.
